The County landfill project consisted of landscape, hardscape, paving, and large-scale entry signage improvements with the goal of improving the overall aesthetic and safety of the landfill entry, circulation drives, and three scale areas of the site.
Project scope included: extensive site inventory and analysis of existing improvements and areas for proposed upgrades including meetings with landfill staff to ascertain all required goals to ensure client expectations were met or exceeded. Conceptual design and design development were conducted to reach a final design solution that was the basis for a complete hardscape, paving, signage, landscape and irrigation improvement construction document package. One of the site constraints consisted of limited irrigation water that required a very detailed and specific irrigation plan for a true low water use landscape and irrigation system.
